Dancing to my own beat: A personal journey into freestyle dance
FREESTYLE DANCE
What Freestyle Dance Means To Me:
I see freestyle dancing as a dance of liberation in which I let the music direct my every step and give up on following a set choreography. I can react to the beats in a way that feels most true to my inner rhythm on this unplanned journey.
Introduction:
I took comfort in the freeing embrace of freestyle dancing. Come along with me as I share my personal trip into the magical world where creativity is uncontrolled and dance turns into a dialogue. This is my investigation into freestyle dancing, which allows me to express myself freely while being purely influenced by the beat of the song.
The Start Of Freestyle Dancing:
In the early days of hip-hop culture, dancers in underground clubs would do freestyle dances to the beats of DJ-spun songs, showcasing their improvisational skills. Freestyle dancing became an essential component of this expressive art form as the hip-hop movement grew in popularity. As it spread beyond hip-hop and into other dance genres, it developed into a flexible and well-liked technique.
The Beat As My Muse:
The music becomes my muse as soon as I go onto the dance floor. It influences my mood and movement style, acting as more than just a soundtrack. Jazz's lyrical notes and hip-hop's upbeat beats both pull me into a different kind of conversation with my body.
